Top Ten Tuesdays is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

This week's topic is: Top Ten Series I'd Like To Start But Haven't Yet

Here we go! I've really got to get cracking on these.

Books of Faerie - Maggie Stiefvater
The Unladylike Adventures of Kat Stephenson - Stephanie Burgis
The Luxe - Anna Godbersen
Tempest - Julie Cross
Dark Mirror - Mary Jo Putney
Seeds of America - Laurie Halse Anderson
Legend - Mary Lu
The Penderwicks - Jeanne Birdsall
Cinder - Marissa Meyer

What series are you eager to dig into?

  1. Quite a great list! I am very eager to try out Cinder as well. Other then that and Luxe I haven't heard of them. Will be looking them up!

    1. It seems like so many people are meaning to read Cinder but haven't gotten to it yet. I'm glad I'm not alone!

  2. I've been very reluctant to try the Cinder series, but too many people whose opinions I trust recommend it.

Penderwicks is so sweet. Think of the wholesomeness of an early 1960s setting, but paired with more modern sensibilities, like racial and gender equality.

    1. Yeah, I've heard the Penderwicks is a lot like The Saturdays.

  3. I've read the first book in the Luxe series. It was quite good, but very slow. And then the rest of the books came out and they were very expensive, so I decided to read them all the next year. Which I didn't. Shame on me. I should def. read the rest of the books in the series.

  4. I really can't recommend the Luke series, to be honest; I accidentally read the sequel before the first one, and the writing was good, but I hated almost all the characters.

I hope you get to Cinder soon! It's my favorite re-telling ever.

  6. I started the Luxe series a few years ago, but I don't think it was for me. I might give it another shot one day. I also want to read Legend and Cinder! Great choices, good luck with reading them all :)

  7. Books of Faerie is the only series by Maggie Stiefvater I haven't read yet. I'm currently working on Cinder and will most definitely read Scarlet once I'm done even though that means a long wait for the third book. :) Excellent choices of series.

    1. Same here - I loved everything else by Stiefvater. Lament is another book I have sitting on my nightstand that I need to get to.

  8. Your list made me realize I forgot about Cinder, Luxe and Dark Mirror. Great list and looking forward to discussing some of these when you and I both get around to reading them.

Thanks for stopping by Literary, etc.

  9. I've seen the Luxe on so many of these lists! I'm quite amazed, hadn't really heard about it before now. But I'll have to find out more now, obviously, haha. I must be missing something. I need to read Legend as well, you're not alone. But Cinder is GREAT!! Definitely read that one :) Nice list!
