Nina Oberon’s life has changed enormously in the last few months. When her mother was killed, Nina discovered the truth about her father, the leader of the Resistance. And now she sports the same Governing Council–ordered tattoo of XVI on her wrist that all sixteen-year-old girls have. The one that announces to the world that she is easy prey to predators. But Nina won’t be anyone’s stereotype. And when she joins an organization of girls working within the Resistance, she knows that they can put an end to one of the most terrifying secret programs the GC has ever conceived. Because the truth always comes out... and the consequences can be deadly.

Ooh... I love a good dystopian! I've actually heard of XVI before, but wasn't sure whether it was a good book. Didn't even know there was gonna be a sequel! Maybe I'll read it once the sequel's almost out. :) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAnd I totally agree- authors write books faster than we can read them!
I still have to read the first one!!! It's just sitting there on my kindle!!

@Jenelle - I know, I just kind of put my fingers in my ears and go, "lalalala" whenever it's pointed out to me how ridiculously long my TBR list is getting.
ReplyDelete@Krazzy - I gave in and purchased XVI as an ebook. I hunted bookstores EVERYWHERE and couldn't find it!
@Laurel - Thanks for stopping by.
@Brittani - I hope you like it... I haven't been able to get enough of dystopians lately.
XVI is still in my TBR, which is totally terrible of me since I've heard great things about the book.
ReplyDeleteHave an amazing reading week!

I haven't read the first book in this series but I definitely want to! It looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnna @ Literary Exploration
I haven't read XVI yet, but it's nearing the top of my TBR pile - especially with all the hype I've been seeing for Truth.

@Anna & @Kelly - I do that all the time. There will be a book I'm meaning to read, and I don't get to it until I start to hear that the sequel is good.
ReplyDelete@Angela - Congratulations on your new blog! Way to start out with a splash!
